Story on the Square is a new, independent bookstore in McDonough, Georgia that is proud to offer new books for children and adults. We feature the hottest new fiction and a wide selection of non-fiction focusing on food, gardening, science, health, history, and culture. In the store, we have planned a calendar full of events for kids and adults. If you’ve been looking for book clubs near you, you’re in luck! Our eight book clubs are free to join and cover a wide variety of interest, and are available for children and adults in nonfiction and fiction varieties. We want to be your favorite bookstore and to help you find the perfect gift that you can’t find anywhere else. Sit for a while at The Rough Draft—a wine and beer bar tucked inside our store that offers coffee, tea, sodas, draft beer, and a wine vending machine. We also serve a full menu of pasteries, bar snacks, and meat and cheese boards. We think a great book and the perfect draft or curated glass of wine is the best pairing for a relaxing evening in your hometown. Grab a snack with your drink and head upstairs to our event space to enjoy music, art, or a featured author speaking about and signing his or her book.

Saturday 8am until 10 pm Sunday 12 pm until 6 pm
Monday thru Wednesday 10 am until 7pm
Thursday and Friday 10 am until 10 pm
